Remote Learning and One to One Device Information 2020-2021
Every student in grades PK-5 will receive a school issued device. At the beginning of the school year that device will stay in school and be charged in the classroom. The student devices as well as student google passwords will be distributed the first day of school in their classroom.
Every student in grades 6-12 will receive a school issued device. Those devices go home with the students at night for schoolwork and nightly charging. They have a complete care warranty which includes accidental damage protection The student devices as well as student google passwords will be distributed the first day of school in their classroom.
If your student grades 6-12 will be using their own personal device in school please send us an email at support@shelterisland.k12.ny.us with the type, brand and model of the device. You can send a picture if that is easier. This is for us to ensure that the device meets the minimum requirements for all school software and services.
ALL school issued school devices will be filtered at home using the school filtering system.
Chromebooks will automatically log in remotely to the school filtering system.
IPADs must be logged into the system manually
The logon page should display automatically (if not go to www.siufsd.com) and will look like the image below:
Students/Parents should then click the Google Auth Button at the bottom of the page and then logon with the student's school google account.
