The Shelter Island Union Free School District participates in the National School Lunch/School Breakfast Program. Nutritious meals are served every school day. All meals served must meet the standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Students may qualify for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Families must submit an application each year, listing every child in the family on one form. Applications are available throughout the school year. If you have any questions regarding free and reduced-priced meals, please call Donna Clark at (631) 749-0302, extension 111.
Breakfast and lunch meals can be prepaid and monies put into your child’s account in the cafeteria. Cash and checks are accepted. Checks should be made out to the Shelter Island Union Free School District. The money remains in the student account and may be used for breakfast and lunch meals during the year.
